高浜市立南中学校3年生作成の「英語で高浜市を紹介する動画」
高浜市立南中学校3年生の生徒が英語科の授業の一環として、高浜市の魅力を英語で紹介する動画づくりに取り組みました。生徒たちが自ら企画し、撮影・編集まで行った作品で、日ごろ見慣れた高浜市内の風景や施設を「中学生ならではの視点」から英語で紹介をしています。
観光名所だけでなく、地域の暮らしや文化、市の魅力ある場所など、さまざまなテーマの動画が完成しました。ぜひご覧いただき、生徒たちが発信する「高浜市の魅力」を感じてください。

(1)鬼瓦、鬼のみち、観音像

We will now tell you about the charms of Takahama City.
Do you know takahama city?
KAWARA is roof tile.
This is ONIGAWARA.
Have you ever seen ONIGAWARA?
The KAWARA is symbol of Takahama City.
This is Oni No Michi.
There are many KAWARAs on Oni No Michi.
The KAWARA in Takahama City are called SANSHU GAWARA.
SANSHU GAWARA is one of the big three of Japanese KAWARA production.
SANSHU GAWARA produce the most among Japanese KAWARA.
Next is dokanzaka.
Dokan is clay pipe.
Slope is easy to crumble so it is dangerous. People made dokanzaka to support by unnecessary clay pipes.
Finally, there is Kannon.
Kannonji Temple is located near the Kawara Museum.
There stands Kinuura Kannon.
It is 8 meters tall. It stands on a 12-sided base.
It is the largest ceramic Kannon statue in Japan.
Do you know Japanese zodiac animals?
Around the base of the Kannon statue there are zodiac animals.

私たちはこれから高浜市の魅力を皆さんに伝えます。
高浜市を知っていますか。
これは鬼瓦です。鬼瓦を見たことがありますか。瓦は高浜市の象徴です。
これはおにのみちです。おにのみちにはたくさんの瓦があります。
高浜市の瓦は三州瓦といいます。
「三州瓦」は日本三大瓦のひとつです。日本国内の瓦の生産量は三州瓦がいちばんです。
次に土管坂です
土管坂は坂道などが崩れやすく危険性が高かったので不要な土管で支えて崩れにくくしようという
発想のもと作られました。
最後に観音様です。
かわら美術館の近くには観音寺がありそこには衣浦観音が立っています。
衣浦観音は高さが8メートルあり12角面の台の上に立っています。
焼き物の観音としては日本一です。
日本の干支を知っていますか。
観音の台座の周りには干支などもあります。

(2)森前公園、観音像

Morimae Park is near the Kawara Museum.
Do you know "Kawara" ?
Kawara is very famous in Takahama city.
Morimae Park was created with the image of the "sea"in mind.For example, there
are fish tiles like these around. Many many.
If you go to the high ground, you see big Kannon statue.
The Kannon statue overlooks the city. Look this.
There are many charming Kawara and Kannon statue at Morimae park.

Welcome to Takahama city! In this video, we are going to introduce you about Takahama city appeal handpicked.
We think spider lilies is the most famous Takahama nature along the Hieda River. Spider lilies are in full bloom from September to October. It were so beautiful to bloom all over along the river!
Takahama is also known for its Sanshu Gawara too. This time, we spoke to a public relations officer at the Kawara Museum and Library, which exhibits SanshuGawara and other items.

From Takahama Minato Station to the museum is a walking road called Onimichi. As you walk along the road, you can find Kawara object and onigawara on the roof onigawara everywhere.

高浜市は三州瓦でも有名です。今回は、三州瓦などを展示しているかわら美術館・図書館の広報担当者にお話を伺いました。

高浜港駅から当館まではおにみちと呼ばれる散策路になっています。道を歩くと至る所に瓦のオブジェや屋根にのった鬼瓦などが発見できます。

This manhole is drawn a picture of omanto festival.
The omanto festival is famous in Takahama city.
You can get a manhole card at Takahama city hall.
Oyama Ryokuchi is a place with a lot of nature and shrines.
This is the perfect place to take a walk.
The Omanto Festival that I introduced earlier is being held here.
The Omanto Festival is held every year.

The first, we will introduce about Oyama-Ryokuchi.
There are many torii gates.
You should take a bow when you go through the torii.
In addition, there are nature, a pond with a bridge, and bronze statue from Kawara.
Please visit and look for the bronze statue!!
There are other beautiful nature in Takahama city.
That's Higanbana that planting at the Hieda river.
Do you know that it has many kinds of coloers?
It has many colors for example, yellow, red, and white.
There are many delicious foods and famous things!
