Let’s learn about earthquakes in a fun way and protect ourselves and our families!
If you live in Japan, a major earthquake is certain to come. If you are not prepared for the earthquake by that time, all of you will be in big trouble.
In this disaster prevention classroom, you will learn the correct information about earthquakes and their damage, as well as how to prepare for them.
Studying the basics about earthquakes and practicing in groups is fun.
Even if you have trouble understanding the explanation, the interpreter and the youth disaster prevention leaders will kindly assist you.
It is important to help each other with Japanese people when a disaster occurs. Let's participate and build better relationships!
Recruitment:
Elementary and middle school students: 30 participants (Family members can also participate)
Schedule and Content:

Basic knowledge of earthquakes and earthquake experiences through virtual reality systems - September 21, 2025 (Sunday) 13:30 - 16:00
Basics of disaster prevention activities: 1. Self-help 2. Neighborhood support 3. Public assistance, and disaster prevention at home. - October 26, 2025 (Sunday) 13:30 - 16:00
Lectures on damage from electricity, water supply, gas, etc., and disaster prevention preparation.
Cooking practice for disaster food and practical assembly of emergency beds and toilets.
